Workmanship Guarantee
Last updated: [TODO: date of publication]
This page sets out the terms of the workmanship guarantee provided by Asni 2025 Limited on carpark insulation installations. It applies to installation workmanship only. Manufacturer warranties on the products themselves are separate and are provided by the manufacturer.
What is guaranteed
[TODO: state exactly what the guarantee covers — e.g. that panels remain securely fixed, that the fixing pattern meets the specification installed to, that coverage is continuous. Be specific. A vague guarantee is harder to honour and harder to defend.]
Guarantee period
[TODO: state the period and the date it runs from — practical completion, or the date of final invoice. Confirm this is a period you can hold, and open a substantiation file recording your grounds for the claim as at the date it is first published.]
What is not covered
- [TODO: damage caused by others after handover, including by following trades]
- [TODO: failure of the substrate or structure the system is fixed to]
- [TODO: modification, penetration or removal of the installed system by others]
- [TODO: water ingress, fire or impact damage]
- [TODO: product defects — these fall under the manufacturer warranty]
- [TODO: normal wear, discolouration or soiling]
Making a claim
[TODO: state how to claim, what evidence is needed, and the timeframe for a response.] Claims should be sent to quotes@carparkinsulation.co.nz with the project details, the location of the affected area and photographs.
Our remedy
[TODO: state what you will do — typically re-attend and make good the affected area at no cost. Be clear whether the remedy is repair, replacement or your choice of either, and whether access is provided by you or by the building owner.]
Transfer
[TODO: state whether the guarantee transfers to a subsequent owner of the building, or remains with the party that contracted the work. This matters — a main contractor will often ask, because the building owner will ask them.]
Your other rights
This guarantee is in addition to, and does not limit, your rights under the Fair Trading Act 1986, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where it applies, and the Building Act 2004. Nothing on this page reduces those rights.
